About us
A dream or nightmare?
As parents, we became excited about the growing market with Islamic products. However, we wanted to take a different approach; it was not to remain just an idea. In 2020, we decided to take action. As a company, we wanted to ensure variety, originality, durability and quality. So we decided to put a spin on existing material or develop our own games. To accomplish this, we started looking for a team that could help us with this. The Little Oummah team includes resource experts, export managers, teachers, experts by experience and children (test audience).
Our goal from the beginning was to grow into an international company, a reference for educational, Islamic toys. In fact, research has shown that play is a tool that leads to learning. We want to make it easier for parents or teachers to evoke in children a positive association with the Islamic religion. We leave a sadaqa jariah through our business, but you as a parent/educator do the same.
Of course, this dream also had a downside. Because we wanted to produce a wide range of items and large quantities, it involved more work than we had originally hoped. We faced many surprises: misprinting of items, poor quality, wrong deliveries, unexpected skyrocketing costs, price increases in both energy – transportation and materials, quotations that were not met, travel restrictions and so on. Our spirits sank and we wondered if it was still a good idea to continue with this. However, our motivation was greater than our fear, we repeated our intentions and placed our trust in Allah subhana wa ta’ala. He is the Provider.
However, our story does not stop here, we keep looking for the latest ideas, resources and games.
